I think I have a septate hymen. How do I get rid of it?

Septate hymen describes a type of hymen anatomy where there is a band of hymen that crosses the vaginal opening. There isn’t anything that you NEED to do to get rid of it. Sometimes it just tears on its own. You can also talk with a doctor about vaginal dilators. They could give you a set of small devices that slowly stretch out the hymen tissue over time.
