Sex usually hurts, but I had sex 16 days ago and haven’t stopped bleeding. Is this normal?

This is a complex question. First, is it active bleeding or spotting? Some spotting would be normal following hymen tears, but bleeding for 16 days is abnormal. The other thing you mentioned is that this was not your first time. I would be concerned that there might be something else causing the bleeding, like an infection or vaginal irritation (as can happen with latex allergies when condoms are used or semen allergies).
